“O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter. If this be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of your hand, O king. But if not, be it known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up.” –Daniel 3:16-18
Wow. But. If. Not. This passage resonates with me because it reflects my prayers. It shows both confidence in God’s power and a yielding to His plan.
I created this layout after listening to a sermon on Daniel 3. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego’s actions caused Nebuchadnezzar to have a change of heart. The preacher put Neb’s reaction this way, “If Jesus is worth dying for, then maybe he’s worth living for.”
As far as the artistic process for this page goes, I cut some of the Project Life textured cards, jotted down some notes from the sermon, and taped one edge onto the inside margin to create a flap!
